A tough tall shrub with deep green leaves growing to 3m tall and 3m wide. In spring and autumn it produces gorgeous, cerise flowers that will attract birds and pollinating insects into the garden.
It is ideal for hedging, mass planting and landscaping. It is perfect for waterwise, native and coastal gardens as it is very hardy and can withstand drought, waterlogging and poor soils.
It would prefer to be planted in well drained soil in a full sun position but can tolerate some waterlogging so can be planted in less than ideal soils. After flowering it should be pruned back to shape and to keep it bushy and compact.
