A low growing shrub growing to 30cm tall and 1.5m wide with rounded, dark green leaves. From autumn through to spring it produces deep orange bell shaped flowers which are attractive to birds and pollinating insects.
It is great for native, waterwise and cottage gardens. They are tolerant of salt and wind so can also be grown in coastal gardens.
It should be planted in full sun to part shade in well drained soils. It should be pruned to shape and fertilised with a slow release fertiliser in spring.
