An upright succulent with sword shaped leaves growing up to 60cm high and the plant can form a clump 50cm wide. The leaves are a very dark green colour and can appear almost black.

It is an excellent decorative plant for indoors, outdoor entertainment areas, landscaping and mass planting.

It should be planted in well drained soils in a part shade position. It should be fertilised regularly with liquid fertiliser through the warmer months of the year.
