Also referred to as Wisteria Longissima. A vigorous deciduous climber that needs a large and strong support, it can be trained up as a standard on a pole support then allowed to canopy out giving a weeping tree effect. Leaves turn buttery yellow before falling in autumn.

Hanging racemes of fragrant mauve pea-like flowers are produced in early spring sometimes followed by hanging seed pods. Racemes can exceed 50cm in length. Plant in full sun. Young plants can take up to 4-5 years to produce flowers.
